Snowbird & seasonal move checklist
Every fall the valley fills up, and every spring many seasonal residents head home. Whether you're setting up a condo for the winter or closing a house for summer, this checklist keeps the move simple.
Arriving for the season (October to December)
- Book movers 2 to 3 weeks out. Late fall is one of our busiest times.
- Schedule deliveries from furniture stores and storage units for the same day so one crew handles everything.
- Send HOA move rules, gate codes and parking instructions ahead of time.
- Have us assemble beds and set up furniture so the place is ready the first night.
Leaving for the summer (March to May)
- Decide what stays, what goes to storage and what gets donated or hauled away.
- Book one visit for everything: storage run, donation drop-off and junk removal.
- Cover outdoor furniture or move it inside before the summer sun and wind.
- Leave the AC set around 85°F to protect the home, cabinets and anything left inside.
Partial moves and furniture swaps
Many seasonal moves aren't full moves. Bringing in a new sofa, swapping bedroom sets or moving a few pieces between homes is a small job, often done in under two hours.
